Friday, October 22, 5 to 9 p.m.
Join Historic Valley Junction’s art community for a night!
Friday, October 22, is Historic Valley Junction’s fall Gallery Night. Eight galleries will be open from 5 to 9 p.m. exhibiting new artwork by regional, national and international artists. This event is free and open to the public. In addition to the galleries, many other Valley Junction shops and restaurants will be open for business.
In 14 years, Gallery Night has grown into a popular community event. It is one of the largest merchant events in Historic Valley Junction and a terrific opportunity to rediscover this eclectic shopping district. The galleries of Historic Valley Junction offer original artwork, custom jewelry, ceramics, glass, furniture, and fine art reproductions, as well as many other one-of-a-kind objects. Gallery Night supports many locally owned businesses and showcases the community of Historic Valley Junction.
Each gallery will have new items for Gallery Night. A OK Antiques/Atomicblond Mid Century Modern Gallery Loft will be exhibiting modern, abstract and organic sculpture by Mike Christensen, John Brommel and Hugh Acton and furniture by Eames, Saarinen and other designers. Eyebeads & Gemstones features unique designed jewelry by Mary Jane Long using gemstones from around the world and a variety of African collectible art. Fair World Gallery sells handcrafted items from over 40 countries created by artisans who are treated ethically, paid fair wages, and work in safe conditions. A special collection of Day of the Dead Items will also be on display. Holmes Jewelry Shop specializes in the design, casting, and hand fabrication of fine jewelry.
